Life and death are in the tongue!

We are praying that 2012 will be a year in which every promise in God's Word will be manifested in each of our lives.  Often, the enemy of God and His creation will attempt to get us to look and listen where we should not, attempt to allow those things to take root in our heart and, eventually, the words which we speak.  All of this is the path of the thief and robber who wants to keep God's will from being fulfilled in our lives in 2012.

We are calling the Central Parkway Church family to 90 days of praying and fasting beginning January 1st.  We are praying that God will sanctify and guard our eyes and ears from things we must not look at or listen to.  Secondly, we are praying and working to guard our hearts and minds from things we should not think about or meditate on.  Ultimately, we want the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts to be acceptable in His sight.  For He is our Lord, our Strength and our Redeemer.

For the first 90 days of 2012 we are emphazing a concentrated effort on a steady diet of God's Word, worshipful music, Christian service and speaking words that continually glorify God and edify the body of Jesus Christ.
